We are a growing independent used car dealership in the Pittsburgh area looking for a motivated and outgoing individual to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and wants to build a career in automotive sales.
Unlike large dealerships where roles are divided among many employees, this position is a hands-on role that participates in multiple aspects of the business, including customer service, vehicle marketing, and sales.
Responsibilities
• Greet and assist customers visiting the dealership
• Answer incoming phone calls and respond to customer inquiries
• Follow up with leads from our website, Facebook, Instagram, and online vehicle marketplaces
• Photograph vehicles and upload listings to online platforms
• Communicate with customers via phone, email, text, and social media
• Assist customers through the vehicle purchase process
• Coordinate financing options with customers (training provided)
• Maintain organized lead follow-up and customer communication
• Help manage dealership Facebook and Instagram pages by responding to inquiries
• Work with the team to keep vehicle inventory presented professionally online and on the lot
What We’re Looking For
We are primarily looking for someone with the right attitude and work ethic, not necessarily previous automotive experience.
Ideal candidates will have:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidence speaking with customers in person and over the phone
• Comfort using technology and social media
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills
• Motivation to earn commission and grow income based on performance
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Experience in these industries is a plus but not required:
• Retail sales
• Restaurant or hospitality service
• Phone or membership sales
• Customer service roles
We are happy to train the right candidate who is motivated to learn and succeed.
Compensation
• Hourly base pay + commission
• Bonuses based on number of vehicles sold
• Opportunity to increase earnings as performance grows
Most team members can expect to earn $4,000 – $7,000 per month once established.
Schedule
Full-time position including some Saturdays.
